I started selling hawker food after I retired 12 years ago. I didn’t want to stay at home and do nothing.
I always liked cooking so the idea of starting a hawker stall seemed to be perfect.
I will run the stall till the day my health allows me to. I used to swim before to keep myself fit but now it is becoming difficult to take out time for exercise, therefore I prefer walking everywhere instead of taking bus.
I used to work in a logistics company before. I apply the same logistical method in my stall also. This way I don’t have problems running the stall by myself and everything is planned.
The work does get tiring but the biggest reward for a hawker is when the customers pat our backs for our hard work.
