Now, my husband and I run the store. This business was started by my Mom and we have been in operation since 1962. I have 4 siblings and I’m the only one who picked up on this craft. When I was young, I used to follow my Mom around when she was managing the hawker and slowly learn the skills behind making delicious oyster cakes. I personally enjoy cooking a lot and took a keen interest in my Mom’s craft.

Maxwell is a comfortable place for us as we have been here for so long and have made so many friends with the neighbouring stores. We are like family so it makes the working environment a lot friendlier and fun.
